We take E-Safety very seriously at William Shrewsbury treating it as a safeguarding and education issue.
Each term sees a new unit of E-Safety taught from Reception to Year 6, covering current issues. ESafety is also taught through our PSHE curriculum. A E-Safety committee meet and plan activities such as E-Safety week, assemblies and an annual theatre company to raise awareness. We have a network monitoring system which files a report every week with inappropriate words and phrases flagged to enable us to quickly deal with E-Safety issues.
E-Safety isn’t just part of school life it’s also relevant at home and we would encourage you to have an open dialogue with your children about rules for computer use, Internet access and parental controls on all devices.
Please keep a look out for parent E-Safety information and meetings throughout the year.
