Tuesday 9th February 2021

Hello Reception,

Don't forget to join your class zoom call at 9.30 every morning. Remember we have a different meeting number this week.

Ready to learn? Wake your brains and bodies with Wake Up Shake Up and Dough Disco.

In phonics today, we are recapping 'i, n, m and d'.  Have a go at writing CVC words with the sounds we have recapped in- sat, mad, tin.  Try and use your robot arms to sound out all the phonemes (letter sounds) you can hear.

Mrs Pearson will be teaching you all about the short 'oo' sound today.

Try Scrap's Phonics for activities on blending and reading.  You will need the login and password below.

espresso login and password - student27621 and coding.

Firstly in Maths, we will need to warm up our brains. Join in with the words and actions to the Count to 10 Song. Then we should be ready to work with Mrs Rawlings to make our Number Bonds to 10. You can listen to the  Number Bonds to 10 song before we start if you think it will help you.  Also can you listen to the message at the end of the video please. This will help you with Wednesday's learning.

As it is cold outside, why not have a go at Winter Ice Art.  This activity will take a couple of days to complete so don't forget to stop the video to complete activities and then watch the next part.  We have uploaded the instructions at the bottom of the page if you need to go back to them.

Are you ready for part two of our PE sessions.  Don't forget you might need your family to help you take part in Snowy Days.

Last week, Mrs Rawlings introduced you to time and clocks.  As you are Superhomelearners, try and find out how many things you can do in a minute. What do you think you could use as a timer?  Set it for one minute. The activities could include - How many times can you write your name?  How many times can you hop on one leg?  How many times can you write down our sound of the day? How many times can you write 1-10 or count out 10 objects? What else could you do?  Let us know.

Phew, at the end of a busy days learning snuggle down to a story with Mrs Rawlings called Barty's Scarf.
