Thursday 11th February 2021

Hello Reception,

Don't forget to log in to your class Zoom meeting at 9.30.

Get ready to learn with Wake Up Shake Up and Dough Disco.

In Phonics, we are recapping the sound 'o' and reading words.  Practise writing 'o' and keep practising our Tricky Word Song. Mrs Pearson is going to continue recapping Phase 3 sounds with a fun activity at the end!

In Maths, Mrs Rawlings is going to show you a variety of different coins. We will look at Different ways of making 10p. So to help us warm up our brains we are going to sing the One to Twenty Song.  Also during the video we will be singing the Money Song that we sang yesterday. There is a Shopping Story that you can listen to and finally there is a Toy Shop Money Game you can play along with.

Don't forget to go back to Monday's Home Learning page to practise your reading.  Sometimes it is fun to change a story.  Can you make up a different ending to one of them?  Tell your adult what happens.

Mrs Hardwick really needs your help today.  Can you be a Super Investigator and complete a mission?  Help us Reception!

Our last PE session this week all about Snow City.

As it is cold outside, can you notice anything that looks different?  On your walk or in your garden have a look around at things that could be different to normal.  Does anything sound different?

We are nearly at half term and we have learnt and found out lots and lots of new things.  During half term, could you make a postcard and send it to your teacher.  Tell them some of the things you have been doing and decorate the front with some of the things you have done.  Can you find out what happens to a letter or postcard once it has been put in a postbox?  Maybe you could draw a map to show the letters journey.  What happens to the letter if it has to go to another country?

Finish your day with a story. Snuggle up on the sofa and listen to Big Panda, Little Panda read by Mrs Rawlings.
