Information regarding Home Learning for Year 2 children. Week beginning 18.10.21

Reading- Please log on to your child's Oxford Reading Buddy Account and read a book each day. Why not complete one of the fun comprehension quizzes too? 

English – Our Final Week using our class text and lessons using conjunctions in sentences. 

On The Way Home by Jill Murphy- Have a listen to our class text. 

Lesson 1 -WALT write a book review. - Write some sentences about our book we have read over this half term. Did you enjoy it? What was your favourite part? Who would you recommend this book to? Please find template of a book review in the attachments below if you wish to use this.

Lesson 2- WALT write narrative sentences- Can you write a new page for our class text. Please see the template om the attachments to help you. You can choose your own animal, think about what it does to Claire and how Claire will escape! 

Lesson 3- WALT write factual sentences- can you research on the Internet about Jill Murphy? What can you find out about her? You could make a poster or write some sentences to show what you have found out.
