  • Make the longest paper chain
  • Build the tallest tree out of paper
  • Create a game to play as a family e.g. pin the nose on Rudolph 
  • Create an obstacle course outside and see how quickly you can complete it

It would be lovely to see some of your draw with Rob activities, I have attached some links below. You may want to draw Sonic, an alien, unicorn or Santa.

English – Please complete the reading comprehension attached. This does not need to be printed as you can complete this just by looking at the screen and writing this down on another piece of paper.

Maths – Today, you will be continuing your learning on shapes. If you need to remind yourself of the video you watched yesterday, click here.  

Complete the attached shape worksheet ‘Name the 2D shape’.

Afternoon challenge – Today, you will be using our history learning of The Titanic to create a piece of artwork. You will be creating The Titanic. You can create this in any way you like using any resources you have. If you want to draw it, I have attached a link that you can follow for a step-by-step drawing of The Titanic - click here

Wake up Shake Up:  Footloose!

Reading- Please log in to Oxford Reading Buddy to choose a book. Why not complete a comprehension quiz afterwards? 

English-There are two reading comprehension activities you can choose from. I have named them '1 star' and '2 star'. Both activities can be done by reading from the screen or you can print them off. 

Maths-  Three Digit Addition- Please use the attached word document 'Monday Maths' below. There are examples of how to answer the calculations and a challenge activity too. This can be done by looking at the screen or it can be printed. (also attached as pdf document)

Phonics- Common Exception Words- Please find a copy of our Year 1 and 2 common exception word mat attached below. Choose 5 words. Practise writing them first. You could challenge yourself to see how many times you can write each word in one minute! Once you have practised your words, write some sentences with them in. I can't wait to read your sentences! 

Afternoon Challenges- Choose a challenge to complete and have some fun! 

-Christmas A-Z- can you think of something linked to Christmas that starts with every letter on the alphabet? e.g A- angel B- bells C- cracker 

-Make a Christmas tree! You could use lego, junk modelling, paint, books...anything! 

-Make some paper snowflakes

-Draw with Rob- Santa!

-Design and make a new vehicle for Santa to deliver his gifts!
