Phonic Home Learning

Week Beg - 19.10.20

This week we have continued with our sounds g, o, c and k.  Why not go on a sound hunt around your house to find objects that begin with that sound? Eg car, cat, crayons, carrot.

Don't forget to look at the attachments at the bottom for further ideas of how to help your child learn their letter sounds.

Week Beg - 12.10.20

This week we are continuing learning letter sounds and recapping those learnt last week.  Our next set of sounds are m, d, g, o, c, k.  We have uploaded some fun activities for you to play and share with your children to help them learn their new sounds, (see attachments below).  If your child already knows their letter sounds have a look at the blending powerpoint below.

We have also been thinking of different sounds around us, different ways to make sounds and rhyming.  Lots of activities can be found in 'Phase 1' phonic activities below.

Week Beg - 05.10.20

The first sounds we are learning are s, a, t, p, i and n.  Click on the      attachments below to download fun games and activities. Please don't feel that you have to complete all the activities as they are just a selection of ideas for you to support our learning at home.  Please have a look at this link to show how to pronounce each of the sounds correctly.  How to pronounce our phonic sounds

If your child can already recognise these sounds, download the CVC word matching games.  Please help your child sound out each letter individually before blending together to read the word.

Due to Covid restrictions please do not send any completed tasks into school.  Please feel free to pop a note in the homeschool diary to let us know how you get on.
